Membership 

The LMI exists to foster an environment for furthering medical and health education and knowledge. It is relevant to all who work in the forum of health care.
 

How to join the LMI 

You will find descriptions of the many benefits of belonging to the LMI elsewhere on this Web site.  We offer three types of membership as follows.  Please click on the application form for the relevant type of membership, print, complete and sign both the form and the direct debit mandate, and return by post to:

Open to registered medical and dental practitioners and to other senior scientists equivalent to NHS consultants.

• Full Membership (Category A1)
  Annual Rate - £140 (pro rata rate applies for part year)
  
  
• Joint Membership Member and spouse (Category A2)
  Annual Rate - £225 (pro rata rate applies for part year)
  
  
• Junior doctors and doctors in training (Category A3a)     
  Annual Rate - £30 (pro rata rate applies for part year)
  
  
• SAS Grades and clinical specialists (Category A3b)     
  Annual Rate - £45 (pro rata rate applies for part year)
  
  
• Country Membership (Category A4) 
  Defined as living and working more than 10 miles from the LMI
  Annual Rate - £60 (pro rata rate applies for part year)
  
  
• Retired Membership (Category A5)
  For those who have been a member of the LMI for 10 years or more
  Annual Rate - £40 (pro rata rate applies for part year)

• Retired Membership (Category A5a)
  For those who have not been a member of the LMI for 10 years or more
  Annual Rate - £85 (pro rata rate applies for part year)

  Open to qualified nurses and members of other professions allied to medicine

  Free of charge to anyone who is currently undertaking a medical degree at the University of Liverpool.
