The LMI exists to foster an environment for furthering medical and health education and knowledge. It is relevant to all who work in the forum of health care.

Categories Of Membership

There are various membership categories to choose from, dependent on your profession and career stage.

Student  
FREE

For those studying for a medical, dental or allied health professional degree at one of the universities in Liverpool.

​

Doctor in Training

£48 per year

Discounted membership for junior doctors and doctors in training.

​

Specialty And Specialist Grade Doctors

£65 per year 

 

Full

£200 per year

For consultant medical, dental and public health practitioners.

 

Joint

£290 per year

For two partners who would otherwise be two full members.

 

Country

£85 per year

For full members living and working more than 10 miles from the LMI.

 

Retired

For full members over the age of 65 and retired. There are two retired categories:

Category A5: For those who have been a member of the LMI for 10 years or more
Annual Rate - £54

Category A5a: For those who have not been a member of the LMI for 10 years or more.
Annual Rate - £105 (pro rata rate applies for part year).

For qualified Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.
