We can offer support via our dedicated audio visual technicians to assist organisers with speakers, presentations, microphones and AV equipment, ensuring your event runs smoothly and removing the headache (and embarrassment) of technical hitches. If there are a number of speakers at a meeting, it is strongly recommended that arrangements be made with us to have an AV technician in attendance. Audio visual assistance is bookable for a minimum of three hours.
However, some event organisers may wish to manage technical aspects themselves. If speakers are unfamiliar with the LMI's equipment, our staff are happy to talk them through operation of the AV suite in advance of the event, and test compatibility of presentations/equipment with LMI's system at no additional charge.
Speakers and organisers can also email their presentations to us in advance, so they can be preloaded on to the system to save you time on the day. Due to the wide range of hardware and software available, we cannot guarantee compatibility, and speakers are advised to have presentations on an alternative format (e.g. CD or memory stick). Please ensure that presentations containing embedded video or sound are accompanied by the original source files.
There is a small car park at the rear of the LMI, for persons attending a meeting. However, other meetings may be taking place and the car park is on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Arrangements can often be made for additional parking in the Metropolitan Cathedral’s underground car park which is opposite the LMI. This is at an extra charge per car and organisers must book this in advance.
Should organisers wish to gain early access to the building in order to set up for their event, arrangements can be made to provide early morning access to the building.
Reception Desks and Trade Stands:
Registration tables and trestle tables for use as trade stands can be provided on request at no extra charge.
Double sided poster boards are available at the venue for hire. We have two sizes: 6 x large poster boards (6ft x 6ft) and 10 x small display boards (2ft x 5ft, hinged).
It would be very much appreciated if organisers would forward a copy of their event programmes to the LMI conference office to help with the running of their events.
