Linked Organisations
The Liverpool Medical Institution has educational links with the Royal Society of Medicine in London. Members of the LMI can join the Royal Society of Medicine without paying the initial admission fee.
Joint LMI / RSM meetings are held regularly in London and Liverpool.
The Liverpool Medical Institution has strong links with the MMS, and hold joint meetings, as well as distributing each others programme in order to further medical education and knowledge in the region.

Merseyside Medical Benevolent Fund
The MMBF exists for the benefit of medical families on Merseyside. The Fund's aims are to give support, comfort, and, where necessary, financial support to the medical profession and their dependants who, through illness or misfortune, find themselves in need. The MMBF would like all members of the profession to know that they can refer cases at any time and all their work is conducted under the strictest confidentiality.

Each year there are also joint meetings with the Liverpool Psychiatric Society, Liverpool Society of Anaesthetists, Merseyside Medico-Legal Society, BMA (Liverpool branch).
